Personal Note
I am the proud parent of four beautiful daughters. I also have one wonderful grandson. I enjoy skiing, swimming, diving and music.
Education and Training
Born in Budapest, Hungary, Dr. Remak attended both undergraduate and medical school at Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University in Szeged, Hungary. In 1976, he came to the United States to begin his residency at LaGuardia Hospital Cornell University in Forest Hills, NY. After finishing his residency, he returned to Szeged to work at Szent-Gyorgyi, and in 1983, began a two-year fellowship there.
After his fellowship, Dr. Remak went back to work at Szent-Gyorgyi as an assistant professor of gastroenterology. In 1988, he returned to America to work at the University of Colorado as a research associate. Two years later, he returned to LaGuardia Hospital Cornell University to begin another residency, which he followed with a fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
Since 1996, Dr. Remak has practiced medicine at the Marshall County Medical Center, Gastroenterology Consultants, TransSouth Health Care and Remak Gastroenterology Services. In 2005, he joined Gastroenterology Center of the MidSouth, now Gastro One.
He was certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1993 and in gastroenterology in 1995.
