Personal Note
My wife, Mary, and I have four children and three grandchildren. We have a sailboat on which we live and travel part-time.
Education and Training
A graduate of Tulane University, Dr. Davidson attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, graduating in 1971. The following year, he completed an internship at the City of Memphis Hospitals, and in 1974 he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee and City of Memphis Hospitals. He spent the next two years in a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Tennessee and City of Memphis Hospitals.
After his fellowship ended in 1976, Dr. Davidson opened a solo practice before practicing with the Gastroenterology Associates in Memphis, TN. In 1986, he joined Consultants in Gastroenterology, also in Memphis. He later practiced at The Gastroenterology Center before co-founding Gastroenterology Center of the MidSouth, now Gastro One, in 1996.
He was certified, in 1977, in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in gastroenterology in 1978.
Dr. Davidson was a member of the United States Army Reserves from 1972-1978.
